Privacy Policy

Lagnesh is built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains what data we collect, what we do not collect, and how your information is handled.

What We Do Not Collect

Most of what happens on Lagnesh never touches our servers:

• Birth data (name, date, time, place) — entered directly into the app and processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or log this information on any server.
• Chart calculations — all planetary positions, Dasha periods, Ashtakavarga tables, and other computations run as client-side JavaScript. They never leave your device.
• Chat history — your AI conversation exists only in your browser session. It is not saved to a database. When you close or refresh the tab, it is gone.
• Account or profile — Lagnesh has no user accounts. No email, no password, no login. You enter birth details and use the app anonymously.

What Is Sent to Our Servers

When you ask the AI a question about your chart, the following is sent to our Cloudflare Worker endpoint:

• Your chart data — planetary positions, signs, houses, Dasha period, and other computed values needed to generate a meaningful reading.
• Your question — the text you typed into the chat.
• Your license key — if you have activated a Pro license, the key is sent for validation. The key itself is a random string, not linked to personal identity.

This data is used solely to generate your AI reading. It is not logged, stored, or used for any other purpose. The worker processes the request, forwards it to the AI model, and returns the response. No persistent storage of conversation content occurs.

Local Storage

Lagnesh uses your browser's localStorage for the following:

• Question counter — tracks how many AI questions you have asked today (resets every 24 hours). This is a simple integer, not personal data.
• License key — if you activate a Pro license, the key is stored locally so you do not need to re-enter it. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser data or using the settings panel in the app.
• Language preference — remembers whether you selected English or Hindi for the chart display.

None of this data is transmitted anywhere. It lives only in your browser.

Cookies

Lagnesh does not use cookies. We do not set tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. Period.

Analytics

Lagnesh does not currently use any third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). If we add anonymous traffic analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and the data collected will be limited to aggregate page view counts, with no personally identifiable information.

Payment Data

Pro subscriptions are processed through Dodo Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant Merchant of Record. Lagnesh never sees, stores, or processes your credit card information, bank details, or payment credentials. Dodo Payments handles the entire checkout process on their secure infrastructure. We only receive a license key activation signal — we do not receive your financial data.

Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are involved in running Lagnesh:

• Cloudflare — hosts the website (Cloudflare Pages) and runs the AI worker (Cloudflare Workers AI). Cloudflare may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, timestamps) as part of their infrastructure, in accordance with their own privacy policy.
• Dodo Payments — processes Pro subscription payments. Their privacy policy governs all payment-related data.
• Google Fonts — serves the Cinzel and Raleway font families. Google may receive your IP address as part of the font request.

We do not share any data with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.

Data Retention

Since we do not store birth data, chart data, or chat content, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end. The only persistent data is license keys stored in Cloudflare KV (used solely for validation), which are retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted upon expiry.

Your Rights

Because Lagnesh does not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are largely self-service: clear your browser's localStorage to remove the question counter, language preference, and license key. If you have a Pro subscription and want your license key record removed from KV, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively apply any policy changes in a way that reduces your privacy protections.
